This interactive 6-hour training will provide an introduction to group facilitation and also present advanced facilitation skills. Participants will learn the basics of facilitating meetings and other group conversations, and key skills to use when issues arise. Participants will have the opportunity to practice facilitating and will refine their skill set to address conflict occurring within teams.

This highly interactive 20-hour training will introduce mediation concepts and prepare individuals to mediate using demonstration, practice, lecture, discussion, and situational case studies. This is a practical course, incorporating a best practices approach to mediating.

• Five-phase Facilitative/Empowerment model
• Client-centered approach
• Cultural influences
• Mediator interventions & strategies
• Uniform Mediation Act

Virtual trainings takes place via Zoom from 9am - 5pm ET each day for 3 days. Attendees must participate via video and audio for the duration of the training.

In-person sessions are held at 4515 Superior Ave. in Cleveland, Ohio from 9am - 5pm ET each day for 3 days.

This course has been approved for 18.5 CEU's, 18.5 CLE (Continuing Legal Education) credits, and meets the training requirements for mediators set forth by the Ohio Supreme Court in Rule 16. Participants earning CEU or CLE credits are charged a $25 processing fee.

Shelter Diversion prevents homelessness for people seeking shelter by identifying immediate alternate housing and connecting clients to services and financial assistance so they can return to permanent housing. In Cleveland, we have found that this client-centered, conflict resolution approach keeps many persons seeking shelter stably housed.
